Maria is a medical entomologist, working as a Research Associate in the Department of Entomology and as the State Public Health Entomologist with the Kentucky Department for Public Health. Her research focuses on vector ecology and biology, surveillance of vectors and pathogens, transmission dynamics of vector-borne diseases, and strategies for their prevention and control.
