Biography
I work with the Gonthier Agroecology Lab on the Crops Under Cover project, which focuses on row covers as a strategy to mitigate insect pest, climate, and disease stressors to fruit and vegetable crops. I study the effects of row covers on crop yield, insect abundance, and insect damage through field trials at the UK Horticulture Research Farm. I also study growers’ perceptions of row covers through a collaborative on-farm trials program with over twenty farmer and backyard gardener participants across the state of Kentucky.
